Mason United Methodist Church is a dynamic and growing congregation. With roots in the early years of the 19th Century, the church presently is fully embracing the 21st Century with programs for the young and the young in spirit. The staff of three ministers provides support and care for every aspect of ministry in the congregation.
The senior minister is Dr. George C. Phillips, the primary preacher and leader of the congregation. He is joined by Rev. Alice Kay Hoover, who works in the areas of Christian Education, Children's Ministry, and Family Ministries; and by Rev. Edinson DeArco, leader of the Esperanza Viva (Living Hope) Hispanic Ministry.
The congregation is host to the Cincinnati Choral Society directed by Dr. Doug Belland who also is the Music Director for the church.
Music at the 8:30 and 11:00 AM services is mostly classical and traditional, with a variety of contemporary and up-beat ensembles. The Chancel Choir is one of the finest in metro-Cincinnati. The congregation also has many other groups including children' choirs and various ensembles.
Sunday morning contemporary worship at 9:45 speaks to daily life
issues, and is enhanced with a variety of
visual media. Movies and pictures help
reinforce the theme, inviting you to
worship God with multiple senses. The
music is energetic and varied in style.
Lead by Worship Leader, Eric Brown, the energy of the band will engage and
uplift.
In addition to Sunday School, we offer a variety of age-level fellowship and learning opportunities. Children's groups meet the second Sunday of each month and enjoy movies, games and activities including recreational outings. For youth the church offers a dynamic program that often includes mission trips beyond the United States.
Our adult ministry regularly plans outings for the entire family to enjoy. The church is home to the Fun Bunch, an exciting group of seniors that meets for travel, lunch, special programs and games.
The Mason United Methodist Church is a loving and caring community which lives its vision: TO MAKE DISCIPLES, NURTURE DISCIPLES, AND SEND DISCIPLES INTO MISSION.
