With the spread of COVID-19, Bishop Gregory Palmer is strongly urging all West Ohio Conference churches to cancel public worship for the next two weeks. To help slow the rate of infection and to do our part in protecting our congregation, the Mason United Methodist Church will be following the bishop's urging.
All worship services, and group activities at the church are canceled for at least 2 weeks (from this moment until March 28 at the earliest). As things progress and develop, we will keep you informed the best we can.
In the meantime, we will send out another eBlast on Sunday morning, as well as posting on Facebook a recorded worship service. We encourage our entire church family to worship at home. We are also hoping that, be next Sunday (March 22) to be able to live stream a worship service on Sunday morning. Again we will pass along information as details become available.
During this time of no group gatherings, please be aware that our need to continue our financial support is critically important! The church's current financial situation is stable, but we DO NOT have a cash reserve to draw upon. Even though we may not gather together in worship, we ask that you continue your faithful stewardship by either making your offering online (click here for online offering) or mailing it to the church office.
If you need to get a hold of anyone at the church, the best option will be either via phone or email. We will be checking voicemails at the church as regularly as possible. Again, as we develop our plans/actions we will keep you notified. If an emergency arises you need to get in touch with me, please feel free to call my cell: 937-212-5366.
In closing, let me also say - keep all of your sisters and brothers in your prayers. This is affecting all of us in ways we can only begin to imagine. Also, remember and know that in all of this, our awesome and amazing Lord is with us. Draw strength, comfort, peace and love from the One who fills us with life!
In Christ's Service,
Rev. Mark Damschroder
