Are you satisfied with your life? Really satisfied? At age fifty-four I have that question come to me more than ever. It is a question that is never too late to ask, though.
It's often said that Christians have every reason in the world to be optimistic. We know that God is on our side, after all, and according to Romans 8:28, he's promised to work all things for our good because we love him.
And yet, if we were really honest about it, we'd admit that life can still be a challenge. Days can still seem ho-hum, rather than the awesome adventure we secretly long for.
Ever been there? Ever thirsted for more?
I hope you will soon be able to see your relationship with God in a whole new way, confidently understanding how to "live all the days of your life."
I want you to be able to define just what it is you're really thirsty for - and how to go about satisfying that thirst.
Please don't miss this churchwide opportunity to grow in faith and stretch your spirit. Make plans now to commit to attend worship these next weeks. If you are able, pick up your copy of Treasures of the Transformed Life. Read it on your own or engage in one of two study opportunities weekly.
And know that the transformed life that results could be your very own!
Feeling a little thirsty?
E. Stanley Jones said once that, "Life in our hands is life on our hands - a problem. Life in the hands of Jesus is no longer a problem; it is a possibility."
So what's the greatest of possibilities today? Are you ready to dive in - even if it feels like you're in over your head - and allow God to help you swim?
